We are amazed by the very generous support received this Easter. Donations of eggs had been given to our refuges across Birmingham and the children of the service users of WAITS.
We would like to thank:
Yasmin and the Be Kind Volunteers
We collected some beautiful Easter basket donations for our service users in refuge. They were thoughtfully put together with yummy Easter treats and toiletries and were so fabulously presented, a massive thank you for their kindness and generosity as they keep WAITS in mind for their services all year round.
West Midlands Police
Georgina and the Engagement Team met with Charmaine, Volunteering and Influencing Coordinator, to Donate 25 Easter eggs to be given to the children of WAITS service users. We have a fantastic donation each year and even during the pandemic they were able to collect for the children. We are really appreciative of their kindness.
Handsworth Seven Day Adventist Church
Maureen and all the parishioners put together to donate Easter eggs to the children of WAITS service users. We have over 50 children to the women we support and we love to see their happy faces when they receive these kind donations. Maureen has been a great support to WAITS before and during the pandemic and we are really thankful to all.
We have been lucky that the community keep WAITS in their thoughts for donations. We were lucky to receive a donation for bedding from Sainsburys Longbridge, this will go far in helping the women in our refuges, as well as those moving into a new home.
We would also like to thank Monique for her shoe donation and Gary for our underwear donation. All these will help our women in Crises.
